Choose a brush

Sketching starts with selecting a brush. You can choose from an assortment of default brushes, which make sketching a straight line a breeze. Select a default eraser for modifications. Or, if you are looking for something different, change the brush setting to create something customized.

Selecting default brushes or erasers

1. Press your stylus over the brush icon.

   

2. Flick the stylus toward the drawing tool you want to use.

   

   NoteFor erasing, you can also use the eraser tip of your stylus, if it has one.
3. To access additional brushes, click the current brush icon.

   

   NoteThe last-used brush is saved for the next session.

Drawing straight lines

• To draw a horizontal or vertical lines, hold down the Shift key.
• To draw diagonal (45-degree angle) lines, hold down the D key.

Changing brush properties

1. Click the current brush icon.

   

   The brush palette appears.

   

2. Select the brush you want to change.
3. Select this icon.

   

   Or, double-click the brush.

4. The Brush Properties window appears, where you can change various settings. These settings vary for each type of brush.
