Set brush width or transparency for a Do-It-Yourself brush or eraser according to the amount of pressure applied to the stylus.

Changing settings for a Do-It-Yourself brush

Create a Do-It-Yourself brush.
Double-click the Do-It-Yourself brush in the Brush Palette.

The Brush Properties window appears.
Use the Size settings in the Brush Properties window to make the brush thickness vary with the pressure you put on the stylus.
For a thicker brush stroke regardless of how hard you press the stylus, move both sliders to the right.

For a thinner brush stroke regardless of how hard you press the stylus, move both sliders to the left.

For a brush stroke that is thinner at light pressure and thicker at heavy pressure, use different Size values.
To save the new brush, click Save.

The Do-It-Yourself brush in the Brush Palette uses the new size settings.

NoteThe brush size values are a rough approximation of pixel size, but can vary. For example, if lines are too thin to be drawn on the screen, they default to being wider.
- To resize a marker, try adjusting its opacity and stamp spacing.
- To make a bigger marker, set the opacity lower and the brush stamp spacing lower. See the next topic and Adjust the brush stamp for a Do-It-Yourself brush.
