Using the default installation
settings is the fastest way to install AutoCAD on a single, stand-alone
system. A default installation does the following:
- Performs a Typical installation, which
installs the most common application features.
- Installs the Express
Tools library, which provides additional productivity tools.
- Installs AutoCAD to the default installation
path of C:\Program Files\Autodesk\<product name>.
To install the product using default
settings
- Start the AutoCAD Installation wizard.
- On the initial page, select a language
for the installation instructions. Click Install Products.
- On the Select the Products to Install
page, select your product(s) and the product language. Click Next.
- Review the Autodesk software license
agreement. Click I Accept, and then click Next.
- On the User and Product Information page,
enter your user information, serial number, and product key. Click
Next.
WarningAfter you click Next,
you cannot change the information entered on this page unless you
uninstall the product.
- On the Begin Installation page, click
Install. In the configuration warning message, click Yes.
- On the Installation Complete page, you
can view the installation log and the AutoCAD Readme.
- Click Finish.
You have successfully
installed AutoCAD. You are now ready to register your product
and start using the program. To register the product, start AutoCAD and
follow the on-screen instructions.
