(A) OS/2 LAN Server 3.0 Installation
================================================================
 1. Copy DCNND2.OS2 and DCNND2.NIF files from your Driver disk
    (X:\NDIS2\OS2) to C:\IBMCOM\MACS.

    Notice: X: means the floppy drive containing the driver,
            such as: A:, or B: etc.

 2. Double Click the OS/2 LAN Service icon.

 3. Select "Installation and configuration." The IBM logo should
    appear on screen.

 4. Click <OK>.

 5. Select <Advance> and press <Enter>.

 6. Select "Install or Configure this Workstation."

 7. Select server type, adding a server or domain controller.
    The "install or remove" selections should appear.

 8. Select "Configure a component."

 9. Click the "Configure" button.

10. Select "Configure workstation."

11. Select "DigitalChina DCN-530TX Fast Ethernet Adapter"
    when prompted to identify you Network Adapter, then click
    the <Add> button.

12. Select "802.2" from the list and click the <Add> button.

13. Select IBM NETBIOS from the list and click the <Add> button.

14. Select <OK> to confirm all selections.

15. Follow screen instructions to complete the process, selecting <OK> to
    accept default selections.

16. Continue pressing <OK> until your screen prompts you to backup the old
    CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT and create a new CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT.
    Also select <OK> to confirm this.

17. Installation is complete now. Reset your PC by turning it off and on.


(B) OS/2 LAN Server 4.0 Installation
================================================================
 1. In the OS/2 desktop, double click the MPTS (Multi-Protocol
    Transport Service) icon. The IBM logo should appear on
    screen.

 2. Click the <OK> button.

 3. Click the <Configure> button.

 4. Select the "LAN adapters and protocols" item, then click the
    <Configure> button.

 5. Click the <Other adapters...> button.

 6. Insert the Driver Diskette, then enter the driver path like

           X:\NDIS2\OS2
   
   Notice: X: means the floppy drive containing the driver,
           such as: A:, or B: etc.

    and click the <OK> button

 7. Select "DigitalChina DCN-530TX Fast Ethernet Adapter" from
    the Network Adapters list when prompted to identify you
    Network Adapter. Then click the <Add> button.

 8. Select "IBM 802.2" from the Protocols list and click the
    <Add> button.

 9. Select "IBM OS2 NETBIOS" from the Protocols list and click
    the <Add> button.

10. Select "IBM NetWare Requester Support" from the Protocols
    list and click the <Add> button if you need to log onto a
    NetWare server.

11. Select <OK> to confirm all selections.

12. Click the <Close> button in the Configure window.

13. Click the <Exit> button in the MPTS window.

14. Click the <Exit> button, then your screen will prompt you to backup
    the old CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT and create a new CONFIG.SYS
    and AUTOEXEC.BAT. Select <OK> to confirm this.

15. Installation is complete now. Reset your PC by turning it off and on.


(C) OS/2 LAN Server 4.0 Installation (Multiple LAN Adapters)
================================================================

For multiple adapters installation, you must do the following:

    a. configure <LAN Services>
    b. configure <MPTS>


 a. Configure <LAN Services>
 ------------------------------
 1. From the OS/2 desktop, click <LAN Services>.
 2. In the LAN Services windows, 
    double click <OS/2 LAN Services Installation/Configuratin>.
 3. Click <OK> when the IBM logo appears.
 4. In the "Basic or Advanced Installation/Configuration" dialog box,
    click <Advanced>.
 5. Select "Install or configure this workstation" in the
    "Installation Tasks" dialog box, and click <OK>.
 6. Select Server Type (like, Domain controller) then click <OK>.
 7. Select "Configure a component" from the 
    "Installation and Configuration" dialog box, and click <OK>.
 8. Select "LAN Services Adapters" from the "Configure" dialog
    box, and click <Configure...>.
 9. Select the LAN adapters to be used by LAN Services
    (for 2 adapters, select Adapter 0, Adapter 1) and click <OK>.
10. Assign the NETBIOS Resources like Sessions, Commands & Names
    (you can use the default value) and click <OK> for the
    different adapters.
11. Click <OK> in the "Configure" dialog box.
12. Select "Apply the changes" and click <OK> in the
    "Installation and Configuration" dialog box.
13. Follow screen instructions to complete installation.
14. Shut down and reboot the machine.

 b. Configure <MPTS>
 ----------------------------------
  If you have more than one adapter, you need to configure each
  of them for different Slots by clicking <Edit> in "Configure"
  windows.

(D) IBM LAN Services v4.x Installation and Configuration
================================================================
 D.1 Installation Procedure
     
     Note:
 	 . If IBM LAN Services has not been installed on your PC and
 	 you want to install the driver during the new installation
 	 of IBM LAN Services, please follow the steps in section(1).
 	 . If IBM LAN Services has been installed properly on your
 	 PC, please follow the steps in section (2).
 	 
   (1) Installing Driver during installation of IBM LAN Services
   
   Note: Due to a problem with the DOS LAN Services Installation
   Utility, you need to strictly complete the following steps in 
   order to install the driver properly.

   1. On IBM DOS LAN Services (DLS) Diskette 1, make a directory
      off the root directory called NDIS2. Then make a directory
      off the NDIS2 directory called DOS. As a result, There is
      such a directory tree as "X:\NDIS2\DOS", which is same as
      the NDIS2 DOS driver directory tree on the DigitalChina
      Driver Disk.

      Notice: X: means the floppy drive containing the driver,
              such as: A:, or B: etc.
      
   2. Copy the file DCNND2.DOS (from the \NDIS2\DOS directory of
      the DigitalChina Driver Disk) into this new directory
      (\NDIS2\DOS on IBM DOS LAN Services Diskette 1).
   3. Run INSTALL.EXE to install IBM LAN Services.
   4. Follow the screen prompts.
   5. When presented with a network adapter list, select
      "Network card not shown in list below...". Press <ENTER>.
   6. When prompted for the location of the OEMSETUP.INF file,
      insert the DigitalChina Driver Disk and enter the path:
      "X:\NDIS2\DOS". Press <ENTER>.

      Notice: X: means the floppy drive containing the driver,
              such as: A:, or B: etc.
       
   7. The program then displays the adapter name:
      "DigitalChina DCN-530TX Fast Ethernet Adapter". Press
      <ENTER> to confirm.
   8. Then you will be asked for the DOS LAN Services Disk 1,
      Press <ENTER>.
   9. Enter your machine name, user name and domain name.
  10. If all the options are correct, select "The listed options
      are correct." and press <ENTER> to continue.
  11. Accept the defaults on the current screen, select "The
      listed options are correct." and then press <ENTER>.
  12. Set the Slot or Media if needed. We resommend accepting
      the default setting. Then select "The Listed options are
      correct." and press <ENTER>.
  13. Now the NDIS2 driver is installed properly. Follow the
      prompts to complete the installation and restart your
      computer for changes to take effect.
   
   (2) Installing Driver (general procedure)
   1. Insert the Driver Disk into the PC's floppy drive.
   2. Change to the LAN Services directory, e.g. C:\NET.
   3. Run INSTALL.EXE (The setup/configuration program of LAN
      Services).
   4. If all the options are correct, select "The listed options
      are correct." and then press <ENTER> to continue.
   5. Select "Network card" field and then press <ENTER> to
      install driver.
   6. Select "Add driver for network card" and press <ENTER>.
   7. From the Network card field, select "Network card not
      shown in list below...". Press <ENTER>.
   8. In the text box provided, type the path:"X:\NDIS2\DOS".
      Press <ENTER>.
    
      Notice: X: means the floppy drive containing the driver,
              such as: A:, or B: etc.
       
   9. The program then displays the driver name:
      "DigitalChina DCN-530TX Fast Ethernet Adapter". Press
      <ENTER> to confirm.
  10. If the driver configuration is correct, select
      "Driver Configuration is correct." and press <ENTER>.
  11. If all the options are correct, select "The listed options
      are correct." and then press <ENTER> to continue.
  12. Then LAN Services will ask for the DOS LAN Services Disk 1
      , In the text box provided, type the path:"X:\NDIS2\DOS".
      Press <ENTER>.

      Notice: X: means the floppy drive containing the driver,
              such as: A:, or B: etc.
      
  13. Press <ENTER> to reboot PC in order to make driver take
      effect.

 D.2 Configuration Procedure

Default:  The default Media Type will always be "AUTO".
          If a different Media Type setting is desired, please
          follow the instructions below:

   1. Change to the LAN Services directory, e.g. C:\NET.
   2. Run INSTALL.EXE (The setup/configuration program of LAN
      Services).
   3. If all the options are correct, select "The listed options
      are correct." and then press <ENTER> to continue.
   4. Select "Network card" field and then press <ENTER>.
   5. Select "Edit settings for network card driver." and press
      <ENTER>.
   6. Select "Media Type" field and press <ENTER>.
   7. Select the desired setting and press <ENTER>.
   8. If all the settings of the network card is correct, select
      "Driver Configuration is correct." and press <ENTER>.
   9. If all the options are correct, select "The listed options
      are correct." and then press <ENTER> to continue.
  10. Press <ENTER> to reboot PC in order to make change take
      effect.
