Tips & Tricks

Check-out two or three people at a time:
In Delicious you get a check-out bonus, when you check out two or three people at the same time. This means that it’s a great idea to leave a customer that is ready to pay waiting, if you think you can get another customer ready to pay fast enough.
Serve two, three or four people in a row:
If you serve two people from the same tray, you will get a combo bonus. If your tray is big enough, try and prepare the products for 2 or more customers before you serve them. If you want even more bonus points you can try to serve three or even four people in a row from the same tray (only possible in later levels with a bigger tray).
Serve full orders:
If you serve a complete order at once, you will get a bonus for efficiency. (Plus it also saves time on walking)
Serve counter customers first:
Counter customers can’t be cheered up by an entertainer, which means that if they become grumpy, there is no way back. So it wise to serve them before customers sitting at a table.
Entertainers are there to help:
Using an entertainer can be crucial to getting those expert scores. Click the entertainer and then the table you want to use them on. You can use an entertainer on the same table multiple times, until they are happy as can be. Another nice thing to remember is that you can use an entertainer on a table of which one person is already in the checkout line.
Clean the tables:
Clean tables assure that no one will leave your restaurant for lack of places to sit. Customers will only wait shortly to allow you to clean the table. Clean the table while they are waiting and they might stay. When a cleaner is unlocked he or she will clean the tables you select automatically, leaving Emily free to serve the customers.
Stock everything:
During any moment of calm in Delicious – Emily’s True Love , it is wise to check if you’ve got every food stocked up. Re-stocking at these points will save precious time when it gets busier.
Not every customer is the same:
Each customer has a different amount of patience:
Children = Low Patience
Yuppies = Low Patience
Locals = Medium Patience
Regular = Medium Patience
Elderly = High Patience
Biggies = High Patience
Try and help the customers with a low patience first.
Keep your ears open for the mouse:
In each level of Delicious – Emily’s True Love a mouse is hidden. This little fellow will pop up during the day. When this happens you will hear a squeaking sound. This sound means you should look around in hope of finding it and clicking it. Finding the mouse will give you an extra 100 points and those points could be just what you needed to get the expert score
Place Emily:
Putting Emily in a central place, ready to help customers is really important. Clicking the cash register will usually put Emily in the optimal position to help customers and will minimize the amount of walking you will have to do when someone orders something.
Use your shop money:
Each upgrade in the shop has its own benefits and will help you get higher scores. Check out all the descriptions of the upgrades and decide which upgrade you want first.
Help customers first:
Most days you will have an extra task to perform, fixing a table, finding objects, etc. Although finishing these tasks is very important to reach expert scores, helping your customers should always be your first priority.
Restaurant closed means no more customers:
This means cleaning the rest of the tables is less important and you will have time to help the remaining customers in the restaurant
Adjust your difficulty:
Adjusting your difficulty to fit your play-style is one of the most important aspects of a fun experience. If you are finding the levels are too easy or too hard, go to the settings dialogue and adjust your difficulty. You can do this at any time during the game; restart the day to begin with the new difficulty.
Click ahead:
To master Delicious – Emily’s True Love it’s important to click ahead and create a chain of tasks for Emily to perform. Emily will perform each of the tasks you set out for her and eventually catch up. These moments can be used to find hidden objects, evaluate the current situation and even add more tasks for Emily to perform.
Hearts mean that people are ecstatic:
When customers are showing you hearts they are as happy as they can get. Ecstatic people love your restaurant and therefore will give bigger tips.
Quick message:
When you serve your customers within five seconds a ‘Quick’ message will appear.
Make difficult products in advance:
If there is one product that you think is particularly difficult to make, make it in advance. Be sure that the tray size allows you to keep the product there. Once the difficult product is ordered you will already have it and save some time.

Make sure all your customers in Restaurant 5 leave feeling ecstatic during a day. Customers are ecstatic when you see hearts flying around their heads.

Making Evelyn proud
Finish 5 successive days without leaving any dirty tables before closing. This is achieved most easily in restaurant 1.

Delete 20 items from your tray and complete the day.

Women's intuition
Have a complete order on your tray before the order is placed, two times in a row. A good strategy is to serve Gladys. In restaurant one she always orders tea & macaroon and in restaurant 5 she orders green tea & apple pie (see images below). After serving Gladys fill your tray with products for the next customer.

Before this day starts a dialog comes up that will let you play the tutorial. Click "yes" to play the tutorial (recommended for players new to Delicious), click "no" to continue to the first day of playing.
The Bruschetta:

Creating a bruschetta will require multiple clicks. If someone orders a bruschetta it will be: Bruschetta + Tomato + Olive
The Mouse:

The mouse is located on the floor to the left of the counter at the bottom of the restaurant.

Day 2

Bruschetta with lettuce:

A new step is added to the bruschetta. The bruschetta has two different types from now on, one with and one without lettuce; look closely at the order to check if there is lettuce (green) in between. If someone orders a bruschetta with lettuce it will be: Bruschetta + Lettuce + Tomato + Olive
Cleaning the restaurant:

In this day you will clean the trays with dishes in the restaurant. Click the tray to start cleaning, each tray will take some time to clean up. Try to use every moment that you aren't helping customers for cleaning the trays with dishes. (see image below)

The mouse is located at the bottom-right of the stairs at the top-right of the restaurant.

Bruschetta with mozzarella:

A new step is added to the bruschetta. The bruschetta has three different types from now on, one with mozzarella is added; look closely at the order to check if there is mozzarella (white) in between, note that the bruschetta with mozzarella also contains lettuce. If someone orders a bruschetta with mozzarella it will be: Bruschetta + Lettuce + Tomato + mozzarella + Olive
Reading the letter:

In this day you will read Emily's letter. Click the letter to walk to it, Emily will start reading and share a flashback with you. You will read five pieces of the letter, so try to use every moment that you aren't serving customers for reading the letter. This day cannot be completed without fully reading the letter.

The mouse is located above the left corner of the counter to the left of the flower pot.

Day 4

Bell pepper with rice:

Click on the bell pepper and on the rice to combine them. The pepper goes into the oven, when it is done it comes out of the oven and blinks. If you wait too long, the bell pepper will burn from the heat of the open oven and you will have to start over. Note that when you have clicked to pick the bell pepper up from the oven, it will no longer burn.
Bell pepper plant:

When you run out of bell peppers; you can restock at the bell pepper plant to the left of the restaurant entrance. Click the bell peppers one by one to pick them off the plant. You can buy a larger plant in the shop to decrease the amount of times you have to restock.
The Mouse:

The mouse is located above the register.

Day 5

The bell pepper has two different types from now on, one with rice and one with meat. Click on the bell pepper and on the meat to combine them. The pepper goes into the oven, when it is done it comes out of the oven and blinks. If you wait too long, the bell pepper will burn from the heat of the open oven and you will have to start over. Note that when you have clicked to pick the bell pepper up from the oven, it will no longer burn.
Serving Jimmy:

During the day Jimmy (Angela's boyfriend) will come to the restaurant to wait on Angela. Jimmy is a big eater and orders many products. Just as with regular customers it is your task to bring the finished products to him; do this before the time runs out. It is a good strategy to serve Jimmy when no other customers are ordering because Jimmy will not become angry.

The mouse is located to the right of the bell pepper plant at the top of the restaurant near the entrance.

Day 6

Coffee:

From this day on customers can order coffee. To make coffee click the coffee cup on the coffee machine. Coffee will start flowing from the machine and the hand of the circular indicator will start turning. Wait until the hand is in the green area of the indicator and then click the coffee cup again. If you wait too long the coffee cup overflows. Note that when the coffee machine is running you can let Emily perform tasks in between.

The mouse is located on the windowsill of the large window at the left of the restaurant.

Chocolate milk:

It's nothing more than a normal product, but from this moment on people can ask for chocolate milk.
Fitting the dress:

In this day Emily will fit the wedding dress in the restaurant. Click Evelyn to let Emily walk to her and put on the dress, fitting the dress will take up considerable time. Try to use every moment that you aren't helping customers to finish the dress.

Italian ice:

It's nothing more than a normal product, but from this moment on people can ask for some delicious Italian ice.

Cleaning the wedding mess:

In this day you will clean the restaurant after the wedding. Each type of garbage has a garbage can of its own. Glass goes into the blue bin, paper into the yellow bin and organics into the green bin. Delivering items to a bin takes time, so delivering all the items to bin at once saves time. (see image below)

Day 1

Patatas Bravas:

Click on the pieces of potato to put them into the fryer. During the frying you can perform other tasks. When the frying is done the potato pieces come out of the fryer and blink. Combine the potatoes with the hot sauce to finish the dish.
Jamón Ibérico:

Try to restock your ham during calm moments by clicking on the ham in the bottom-right corner of the restaurant.
Spotting suitcases:

Customers standing at the luggage belt are asking you to look out for their suitcases. Keep watching the luggage belt while playing. When you miss a suitcase it will return again later, serving customers should still be your priority.
The Mouse:

The mouse is located on the floor in front of the left side of the counter.

Day 2

Palmera with Chocolate:

Click the palmera and then the chocolate. This is just a simple ingredient combination product.

Souvenir Stand:

This day you get not one, not two but three new products at once. The souvenirs stand contains a Spanish hat, a fan and sunglasses. What would Spain be without those?

Click the Churro and then the chocolate. This is just a simple ingredient combination product.

Try to restock your sausage during calm moments by clicking on the sausage in the bottom-right corner of the restaurant.

Copy Carlos' dance moves. Pay attention to the order in which the buttons light up. Copy the order by pressing the buttons yourself afterwards.

Seafood Paella:

Click on the rice and combine it with the mussel. Then the dish goes into the paella pan until it is cooked, then it blinks. While the dish is in the paella pan Emily can perform other tasks.

The paella now has two different types, one with seafood and one with a pepper. Click on the rice and combine it with the pepper. Then the dish goes into the paella pan until it is cooked, then it blinks. While the dish is in the paella pan Emily can perform other tasks.
Cheer up carlos:

During this day you can cheer up Carlos by talking to him. The best strategy is to wait until the bar has almost drained then click Carlos. This approach minimizes the amount of times you talk with him. Furthermore it is wise to talk to Carlos on calm moments to reset the bar, because the talking takes some time.

Chicken paella:

The paella now has three different types, one with seafood and one with pepper and one with chicken. Click on the rice and combine it with the chicken. Then the dish goes into the paella pan until it is cooked, then it blinks. While the dish is in the paella pan Emily can perform other tasks.

The mouse is located on the floor to the right of the left part of the kitchen.

Day 9

Calamari rings:

Click on the calamari rings to put them into the fryer. During the frying you can perform other tasks. When the Frying is done the potato pieces come out of the fryer and blink. Combine the calamari with the hot sauce to finish the dish.
The plane lunch:

A stewardess comes to collect lunches for an entire plane. Just as with regular customers it is your task to bring the finished products to her; do this before the time runs out. It is a good strategy to serve the stewardess when no other customers are ordering because she will not become angry.

The mouse is located to the left of the luggage belt at the top of the restaurant.

Day 1

Shrimp Salad:

Creating a shrimp salad will require multiple clicks. In this level if someone orders a shrimp salad it will be: Lettuce + Cucumber + Shrimp
Magazine:

Restock the magazine from the box on the ground. You can do this on calm moments or buy the monkey in the shop to let him do it for you.
Cleaning the train:

In this day you will clean the train. Click on the dirty spots to start cleaning, each location will take some time to clean up. Try to use every moment that you aren't helping customers for cleaning the train. (see image below)

The mouse is located under the croissant on the left side of the kitchen.

Day 2

Toast with cheese

Combine the toast with cheese. A good strategy to make sure your toast never runs out is to put one in the toaster when you use one. You can also restock the toast on calm moments.

From now on people can order a baguette.

During the day the cart will start rolling. Prevent it from rolling off screen by clicking on it when you see it move.

Strawberry Juice:

To make strawberry juice, begin by selecting the strawberry. The strawberry goes into the fruit blender and juice will start flowing from the machine into a measuring cup. The hand of the circular indicator will start turning. Wait until the hand is in the green area of the indicator and then click the measuring cup. If you wait too long the measuring cup overflows. Combine the measuring cup with the glass to finish the strawberry juice. Note that when the fruit blender is running you can let Emily perform tasks in between.

The mouse is located on the floor under the bar to the left of the door.

Shrimp Salad with Carrot:

A new step is added to the Shrimp Salad. The Shrimp Salad has two different types from now on, one with and one without carrot; look closely at the order to check if there is carrot (orange) in the salad. If someone orders a salad with carrot it will be: Lettuce + Carrot + Cucumber + Shrimp
Toast with ham:

Combine the toast with ham. A good strategy to make sure your toast never runs out is to put one in the toaster when you use one. You can also restock the toast on calm moments.
The health inspector:

The health inspector wants to taste the food in the restaurant. Just as with regular customers it is your task to bring the finished products to her; do this before the time runs out. It is a good strategy to serve the health inspector when no other customers are ordering because she will not become angry.

The mouse is located to the left of the register behind the wood.

Orange juice:

To make orange juice, begin by selecting the orange. The orange goes into the fruit blender and juice will start flowing from the machine into a measuring cup. Instead of combining the fruit juice with a glass you can now also combine the juice with vanilla ice.
Shrimp Salad with Tomato:

A new step is added to the shrimp salad. The shrimp salad has three different types from now on. Look closely at the order to check if there is tomato (red) in the salad. If someone orders a salad with tomato it will be: Lettuce + Carrot + Cucumber + Tomato + Shrimp
Food deliveries:

During the day boxes with food are brought to the restaurant. Click the boxes to bring them to the back of the restaurant. The deliveryman will leave if you wait too long, but he comes back more times than you need to complete the restock. The serving of your customers should still be your first priority.

The mouse is located behind the wood under the magazine and to the left of the register.

Kiwi Juice/Ice:

To make kiwi juice, begin by selecting the kiwi. The kiwi goes into the fruit blender and juice will start flowing from the machine into a measuring cup. The hand of the circular indicator will start turning. Wait until the hand is in the green area of the indicator and then click the measuring cup. If you wait too long the measuring cup overflows. Combine the measuring cup with the glass or ice to finish the kiwi juice/ice. Note that when the fruit blender is running you can let Emily perform tasks in between.

French Onion Soup with Parsley:

Combine the bowl of soup with the parsley. When the soup bowls run out you can restock them by clicking the soup pan.
Asparagus with white or red sauce:

Combine the asparagus with either red or white sauce depending on the order.
Pigeon’s away:

Find all the pigeons and chase them away by clicking on them. (see the image below).
The Mouse:

The mouse is located to the left of the pond in the center of the restaurant.

Day 2

French Onion Soup with Bread:

The French Onion Soup gets a new type from now on, French Onion Soup with bread. Combine the soup bowl with the bread. When the soup bowls run out you can restock them by clicking the soup pan.

The mouse is located on the left pillar of the balustrade.

Day 3

Oyster:

The oyster can be ordered by customers from this day forward. The oyster lies in the back of the restaurant. A good strategy is to have an oyster on your tray in advance; this saves a lot of walking.
Chase Jean-Paul:

During the day Jean-Paul will appear on either the left or the right side of the screen. He always appears between the kitchen and the stairs. Be sure to keep looking at these two locations while serving customers. Click Jean-Paul when you see him.
The Mouse:

The mouse is located behind the small table in front of the right pillar of the balustrade.

Day 4

Lobster:

The lobster is located in the drawer, click on the drawer to open it. Then select the lobster to cook it in the pan. When the lobster is done the pan cover disappears and the lobster blinks. Click the lobster in time to prevent it from burning. A good strategy is to make a lobster before it is ordered because making a lobster takes considerable time.

The mouse is located behind the right side of the kitchen, next to the green bottle.

Lam’s meat with white or red sauce:

Combine the lam with either red or white sauce depending on the order.
Put the ring back:

In this day you will put the wedding ring back into Jean-Paul’s jacket. Click the jacket on the hallstand on the right to start. Try to use every moment that you aren’t helping customers to put back the ring.

The mouse is located behind the right side of the kitchen, next to the green bottle.

Day 6

Crab:

The crab is located in the drawer, click on the drawer to open it. Then select the crab to cook it in the pan. When the crab is done the pan cover disappears and the crab blinks. Click the crab in time to prevent it from burning. A good strategy is to make a crab before it is ordered because making a crab takes considerable time.
Fruitcake:

The fruitcake is just a simple product that customers can order from now on.

The mouse is located behind Nadia on the right side of the pond in the middle of the restaurant.

Salmon with white or red sauce:

Combine the salmon with either red or white sauce depending on the order.
Romantic deliveries:

During the day several items for a romantic getaway are brought to the restaurant. Click the items to bring them to the back of the restaurant. The deliveryman will leave if you wait too long, but he comes back several times. The serving of your customers should still be your first priority.

The mouse is located on the floor in front of the hallstand to the right.

Chocolate cake:

The chocolate cake is just a simple product that customers can order from now on.

Caviar:

The caviar can be ordered by customers from this day forward. The caviar lies in the back of the restaurant. A good strategy is to have caviar on your tray in advance; this saves a lot of walking.
Philippe the Critique:

Just as with regular customers it is your task to bring finished products to Philippe; do this before the time runs out. It is a good strategy to serve Philippe when no other customers are ordering because he will not become angry.
The Mouse:

The mouse is located to the right of the kitchen block.

Day 10

The Mouse:

The mouse is located on top of the balustrade to the left of the left pillar.

Emily's Return

Day 1

1100 1400

Lasagna:

The lasagna is a complex product because it has multiple layers. Start by clicking the lasagna sheet and combine it with the tomato sauce. Finish by adding another sheet of lasagna. The spring union is the final ingredient, after adding the spring union the lasagna goes into the oven. When the lasagna is done it blinks, remove it from the oven before it burns. Note that Lasagna can be ordered as a small or a big portion, with the big portion another layer of sauce and lasagna is added before adding the spring union.
Latte Macchiato:

From this day on customers can order latte macchiato. To make latte macchiato click the glass on the coffee machine. Latte macchiato will start flowing from the machine and the hand of the circular indicator will start turning. Wait until the hand is in the green area of the indicator and then click the glass again. If you wait too long the glass overflows. Note that when the coffee machine is running you can let Emily perform tasks in between.
Pancake with cherry:

Combine the folded pancake with cherry from a bowl.
Excuse Emily:

Several customers will come asking for Emily at the counter. Click the customers to let Francois explain the situation to them. The customers will walk away when you wait too long.

Day 2

Pink Donut:

The donut is just another simple product that customers can order from now on.
Barking puppy:

The puppy that follows Emily stops at tables to bark at customers. Be sure to click the puppy fast, when you wait too long the customers will become angry instantly. When you remove the puppy by clicking on it the mood of the customers becomes much better.

The mouse is located behind the pile of tiles in the bottom-left corner of the restaurant.

Club Sandwich:

The club sandwich can be ordered in three different sizes: 1/3, 2/3 or the whole sandwich. Click the first, second or third section to select the size.

Banana Fruit basket:

Click the fruit basket to start, click the banana three times to fill the basket with three bananas. The fruit basket is made in the back of the restaurant. A good strategy is to have a banana fruit basket on your tray in advance; this saves a lot of walking.

Click the fruit basket to start, click the banana, then the apple and to finish the basket click the pear.

Click all the dirty locations to tidy up Emily’s apartment. (see image below)

Basil lasagna:

Pay close attention to the order customers make when you see lasagna. From now on customers can also order basil (green) lasagna in both a small and large version and they can order a mix of tomato (red) and basil. When the lasagna comes from the oven and is done it blinks, remove it from the oven before it burns.

Churro treat:

Each table will order a churro before they place their regular order. A good strategy is to always have one churro on your tray before a table orders. Deliver the churros as fast as possible or the tables of your restaurant will still be full when new people enter to sit.

Day 1

Coffee:

To make coffee click the coffee cup on the coffee machine. Coffee will start flowing from the machine and the hand of the circular indicator will start turning. Wait until the hand is in the green area of the indicator and then click the coffee cup again. If you wait too long the coffee cup overflows. Note that when the coffee machine is running you can let Emily perform tasks in between.
Bell pepper with rice or meat:

Click on the bell pepper and on the rice or meat to combine them. The pepper goes into the oven, when it is done it comes out of the oven and blinks. If you wait too long, the bell pepper will burn from the heat of the open oven and you will have to start over. Note that when you have clicked to pick the bell pepper up from the oven, it will no longer burn.
Snuggy the menace:

Snuggy is behaving badly; he scratches furniture and sits where customers could sit. Click Snuggy to chase him back to Edwards’s chair. Chase Snuggy away fast because Snuggy will prevent customers from sitting.

Pink Donut

Francois’ first adjustment to the restaurant is replacing the yellow cheesecake with a pink donut.

Apple Pie:

Francois replaces the macaroon with a piece of apple pie.
Calling Emily:

On this day Francois has to call Emily with the phone in the center of the restaurant. A good strategy is to click the phone when Francois is delivering products nearby, because calling takes relatively little time. You can also wait until the bar has almost drained to maximize the time between calls.

The chocolate milk and Italian ice are replaced by a pancake with two different spreads today.

Latte Macchiato:

The coffee is replaced by latte macchiato, a drink Francois likes much better than regular coffee.
Shopping Channel deliveries:

During the day the deliveryman comes to deliver boxes from the home shopping channel. Because the boxes will be stored inside the restaurant Francois does not have to walk far. When one delivery is missed the deliveryman returns to deliver it again, serving customers is still your highest priority.

Jimmy and Angela come for lunch. Just as with regular customers it is your task to bring the finished products to them; do this before the time runs out. It is a good strategy to serve them when no other customers are ordering because they will not become angry.

Francois pulling tiles:

In this day Francois will remove floor tiles from the restaurant. Click the balloon with the Snuggy head to let Francois start pulling tiles. Removing the tiles will take up considerable time. Try to use every moment that you aren’t helping customers to remove tiles.
