This product is a 32-bit TWAIN-compliant scanner driver for CanoScan 
8800F scanner.
When this driver is selected from within a TWAIN-compliant 
application program, this scanner can be used to scan image data.

< Installation Components >

The following components make up the installation package:

  - Installer (Setup.exe)
    Installs the TWAIN-compliant scanner driver for CanoScan 
    8800F scanner on your computer.

  - ScanGear 13.0.5 for CanoScan 8800F (hereafter referred to as 
    "ScanGear")
    The software allows you to scan image data.

  - Uninstaller
    Lets you remove the ScanGear from your computer.

  - Readme (Readme_English.txt)
    This document. It contains important information about the 
    ScanGear. To view it after installation, select [Start]-
    [(All) Programs]-[CanoScan 8800F]-[Readme].

Restriction on Use of the ScanGear
======================================================================

  - Windows Media Center, which comes with Windows Vista,
    and Media Center, which comes with Windows XP Media Center
    Edition 2005, do not allow you to use image import.
    Use another application, such as MP Navigator EX, to scan
    and use images.

  - When you start Media Center, which comes with Windows XP
    Media Center Edition 2005, scanning using the operational 
    buttons on the scanner is sometimes disabled.
    In this case, restart the computer.

  - If you scan thick documents, the cropping frame may not be 
    attached correctly.
    In this case, attach the cropping frame to each image 
    separately or manually.
