Error messages: On rare occasions you may encounter an error
during installation saying "cannot open [filename]", which is
caused by a previously interrupted installation. If you
get this error, look in the MSAPPS directory of your WINDOWS 
directory for a file called "ROADMAP", (no file extension 
or file type). Delete this file and run SETUP.EXE again.


UNINSTALLING 
--------------------------------------------------------------------
To uninstall the Microsoft Roadmap to Developer Products and Services
run the Roadmap Uninstall application, or, remove the files manually
by following the instructions for the appropriate operating system below.

NOTE: The Roadmap Uninstall application may not remove files 
completely from all configurations. To verify complete removal 
of Roadmap files, see below.


FROM MICROSOFT WINDOWS 3.1x or MICROSOFT WINDOWS FOR WORKGROUPS 3.1x

Delete the following items:
* The folder called ROADMAP located in the MSAPPS folder in your Windows directory
* The Roadmap Program Group in your Windows Program Manager 

  (Note: if you have installed other Roadmaps, such as the Roadmap to Education 
  and Certification, deleting these items will disable those Roadmaps as well.) 

Other files installed by the Roadmap that may be used by other
programs (delete only if you are sure they are not needed by other programs):

These files are located in your \Windows\System directory.

Delete the following items:
* The folder called ROADMAP located in the MSAPPS folder in your Windows directory
* The ROADMAP Directory from the Windows 95 Registry:
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT
  You can use the REGEDIT application to edit the registry (Start\Run\REGEDIT)
* The Roadmap Start Menu item. 
  (Start/Settings/TaskBar/Start Menu Programs/Remove)

  (Note: if you have installed other Roadmaps, such as the Roadmap to Education 
  and Certification, deleting these items will disable those Roadmaps as well.)

Other files installed by the Roadmap that may be used by other
programs (delete only if you are sure they are not needed by other programs):
